H2020Switzerland is an associated country in Horizon 2020!

Switzerland is from 1. January 2017 on a fully associated country to Horizon 2020. Swiss entities now able to participate as entities from a associated country in Horizon 2020 again.

As a result, women publish less and are politically less involved.

2016 EU-China Think Tank Workshop on Science, Technology & Innovation

DRAGON STAR PLUSThe 2016 EU-China Think Tank Workshop on Science, Technology & Innovation took place on the 6. September 2016 at the Sino-German Center in Beijing. 54 Speakers and Participants gathered for interesting speeches on the 13th Five-Year-Plan, the Chinese innovation strategy and many more.

We are looking back to a very succesful and interactive envent with a very good feedback from participants.

CAS course "Shaping Europe"

Europainstitut / Center for Advanced European-Global Studies
The Institute for European Global Studies offers the CAS course “Shaping Europe”. The course is offered as an intensive two-week program and aims to familiarize participants with fundamental issues of European and global governance.

The Institute for European Global Studies at the University of Basel is a Swiss institute which is analysing the development of Europe from a global perspective. They specialists in research and teaching on all contemporary and historical issues of Europe and the European community.

The course will be held from the 10. -22. October 2016 at the Institute for European Global Studies in Basel.

Travel Grant Scheme

DRAGON STAR PLUSTravel Grant Scheme: Participation in the China Hight-Tech Forum and Brokerage Event during the Chini Hi-Tech Fair 2016 Shenzhen, China


The aim of the Travel Grant Scheme is to support technological and research collaboration between Chinese and European organizations in order to explore the opportunities, not only for joint participation in the European Commission’s HORIZON 2020 programme, but also the possibilities of concluding technological agreements.

 The Travel Grant Scheme is designed to provide support for accommodation for 7 nights (including breakfast) at the Wyndham Grand Shenzhen Hotel, for each European organization seeking co-operation with Chinese organizations.

This is the first Call for Applications of the Dragon-STAR Plus Travel Grant Scheme and it will support European organizations interested to participate in the High-Tech Forum and Brokerage Event organized in parallel to t China Hi-Tech Fair 2016, which will be held in Shenzhen, China on 16th – 21st, November 2016.
