The Institute for European Global Studies offers the CAS course “Shaping Europe”. The course is offered as an intensive two-week program and aims to familiarize participants with fundamental issues of European and global governance.
The Institute for European Global Studies at the University of Basel is a Swiss institute which is analysing the development of Europe from a global perspective. They specialists in research and teaching on all contemporary and historical issues of Europe and the European community.
The course will be held from the 10. -22. October 2016 at the Institute for European Global Studies in Basel.

Travel Grant Scheme: Participation in the China Hight-Tech Forum and Brokerage Event during the Chini Hi-Tech Fair 2016 Shenzhen, China
The aim of the Travel Grant Scheme is to support technological and research collaboration between Chinese and European organizations in order to explore the opportunities, not only for joint participation in the European Commission’s HORIZON 2020 programme, but also the possibilities of concluding technological agreements.
The Travel Grant Scheme is designed to provide support for accommodation for 7 nights (including breakfast) at the Wyndham Grand Shenzhen Hotel, for each European organization seeking co-operation with Chinese organizations.
This is the first Call for Applications of the Dragon-STAR Plus Travel Grant Scheme and it will support European organizations interested to participate in the High-Tech Forum and Brokerage Event organized in parallel to t China Hi-Tech Fair 2016, which will be held in Shenzhen, China on 16th – 21st, November 2016.
On 6th September 2016, Dragon Star Plus organises the Think Thank Workshop on Science Technology and Innovation 2016 in Beijing. The Event is an interesting opportunity to increase your network and get an insight of the future relationship between China and the EU.
The Federal Council intends to associate Switzerland fully to Horizon 2020
Now a transnational solution that allows Swiss researchers to participate in Horizon 2020 has been found.
Swiss Scientitsts might loose their access to the european research programm Horizon 2020. In order to prevent this, Switzerland has to add the youngest EU member Croatia to the "Personenfreizügigkeit" agreement.
On 15th June, Dragon Star Plus and China IPR SME Helpdesk are co-organizing a webinar on conducting R&D in China and applying for co-funding for Horizon 2020 Projects.
