Deadline for new MANUNET II calls approaching

The ERA-NET MANUNETT II aims to boost the European competitiveness in the manufacturing industry. It fosters the collaboration between national and regional programmes and links researchers and companies in the field of manufacturing technologies. On the 11th of January 2012 the new calls for proposals have been published.
The manufacturing industry plays a key role for the European economy. The competitiveness of this branch is therefore essential and innovative products and methods are an absolute must. MANUNET publishes regularly calls to develop them.
The network has started on 1st of April 2011 and is coordinated by the Basque innovation promotion agency. 25 ministries or grant funding agencies from 12 countries and 11 regions are taking part. - The MANUNET call includes all fields in Manufacturing, addressing the following topics:
- Information and communication technologies for manufacturing including industrial robotics
- Environmental and energy technologies
- Knowledge-based engineering technologies (computer-aided engineering and design, automated manufacturing, product lifetime management, etc.)
- Adaptive manufacturing technologies: processes for removing, joining, adding, forming, consolidating, assembling
- Other technologies/products related to the manufacturing field
Deadline for submission of short pre-proposals is already on 14th of March 2012!
