Be a part of Human Brain

Human BrainThe Human Brian Project has published its first Competitive Calls Programme. Complement the collective skills of the consortium with your expertise, help it to reach its scientific objectives and get resources for your scientific work.

The Human Brain Project (HBP) is one of the most ambitious European initiatives ever funded. The ten year lasting, large-scale project aims to understand the human brain and its diseases and ultimately to emulate its computational capacities. The ramp-up phase of the project is funded with 54M€ by FP7 as a part of the FET Flagship Initiatives.

A portion of this funding has been reserved for specific tasks to be carried out by new beneficiaries who will join the consortium in 2014. The competitive calls for the partner search are open now and cover the following topics of the HBP work plan:

  • Human and mouse neural channelomics and receptonics
  • Genotype to phenotype mapping of the mouse brain
  • Identifying, gathering and organizing multimodal human and non-human neuroscience data
  • Cognitive architectures
  • Novel methods for rule-based clustering of medical data
  • Neural configurations for neuromorphic computing systems
  • Virtual robotic environments, agents, sensory & motor systems
  • Theory of multi-scale circuits

Applicants can submit their proposals until 6th November 2013. A total EC funding of € 8’287’500 is available.

All information about the content and application criteria of the calls can be found here: https://www.humanbrainproject.eu/participate/competitive-calls-programme
