MODULE 3: Leadership & Responsibility

Service Description

The goal of this two day workshop is to support researchers in their daily challenges at universities and toprepare them for leadership positions in their future career. The experience of the workshop is directly applicable, allowing participants to integrate the course content into their professional and private life. The course will introduce leadership models which participants enrich with own experiences. The participants will complete the online assessment „Gallup StrengthsFinder“ prior to the workshop (price is included in the workshop fee). In the seminar we will look at the talent themes of each participant and discuss how they can individually use and develop their talents more successfully. We will also deal with the talent themes of the group and identify how teams can discover their strengths and use these to collaborate and communicate better. We will focus on team dynamics and communication processes and analyse how each participant can apply their strengths accordingly. Thus the doctoral candidates will create awareness, fi nd solutions and positive actions towards leading themselves and teams successfully. All topics will be delivered in a methodological mix of short input, individual and group work, practical simulation and discussion in order to have long-lasting effects for the participants’ professional and personal development. The workshop is designed to contain a lot of self refl ection and feedback within the group, and you will take responsibility for the transfer and learning effects.
