In this 2-day course researchers will be taught the basic contents about - Bookkeeping/accounting (balance sheets, profit and statement of income, cash flow statement) - Controlling (calculation, break even analysis, cost variances, corporate planning) - Controlling (investment planning and calculation in industrial companies) - Marketing (terms, strategic planning, sales channels) - Financing (financial organisation, cash management, hedging, key figures) - Management Tools (Time Management, Utility analysis, management of meetings, written form) - Contracts - Intellectual Property, Obligations & Rights In principle, every research manager is also a CEO of a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME). This course prepares researchers for this team responsibility. The focus is on financial management and the exploitation of intellectual property. The course is particularly useful in combination with MODULE 3. If researchers are not sure whether they are up to the task of team leadership, we recommend executive coaching first. Target group: Researchers with several years of experience who have already successfully raised third-party funds. Or researchers who intend to start their own company at some point.
